Sushant Singh Rajput's US-based sister Shweta Singh Kirti has taken to her Instagram handle to share certificate give by California State Assembly to the actor.The California State Assembly has recognised Sushant's contributions on the occasion of Independence Day. His sister Shweta received the certificate on his behalf. Jaipur (Rajasthan) : Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has termed the winning of the vote of confidence in the state assembly as "a victory for the people of the state" while stating that "BJP's conspiracy" to topple the government in the state has failed. The Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan won vote of confidence in the state assembly on Friday by voice vote. Congress MLAs were seen showing victory sign after winning the confidence motion in the State Assembly today. Rajasthan's Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Kumar Dhariwal tabled a motion for trust vote in the state assembly. Pilot was removed as Deputy Chief Minister and Rajasthan Congress chief last month after his differences with Gehlot came out in open triggering a political crisis in the state.

Karnataka is mulling to ban the regional outfit Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and its political affiliate Popular Front of India (PFI) for their alleged role in Bengaluru riots early this week, a minister said on Friday. "The state government will take a decision on banning SDPI and PFI in the cabinet meeting on August 20," state Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister K.S. "Preliminary investigation and interrogation of the arrested SDPI and PFI members revealed their alleged involvement in the riots on August 11. Ashwath Narayan also said the state government was considering banning the twin parties for their alleged role in the city riots. State Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai said internal rift in the opposition Congress and the SDPI's conspiracy were behind the riots in the city.
